Biographical history
In 1971 Charles E. Rufer was engaged in the Synchrotron Injector Division (SI), which was a subdivision of the Proton Synchrotron Department (PS).
In 1982 he was named as the head of the Personnel Division (PE).
In 1986 he was transfered to the Technical Support Division (ST), in the Mechanical Support Group (ST-MA) where he worked on the heavy transport and handling operations.
In 1990 he went to the Accelerator Technology Division (AT) and worked in the fields of cryogenics, superconducting accelerating cavities, accelerator magnets and vacuum systems, and surveying.
In 1992 he moved to the Accelerator Sector (AC) where he worked on various accelerators. He ceased his professional activity in 1998.

This collection contains correspondence, memoranda, reports and various minutes of meetings on CERN Employment Conditions (CEC), Comité pour la Mécanique (COMIMECA), LHC Steering Committee, LHC 4 feed points committee.
